...feeling thankful.

Just a year ago now I took my business online, doing more trunk shows and one on one appointments. While doing what I love, this gave me more time with family, and friends. We all try hard to slow down time but it just keeps going faster and faster. Speaking of time... a month ago was our 8th annual Couture for a Cure breast cancer awareness fashion show. This event has grown so much over the years and has become a real community event everyone looks forward to. I have an amazing committee, local salons donating their time to our models, the numerous generous silent auction donations and an amazing venue, all made for a successful night which I am very thankful for. Dr. Beth DuPree was our guest of honor, she is the creator of the Healing Consciousness Foundation, helping women heal past their cancer. We have also worked closely this year with Lynn Carpenter of Bee Well Boutique of St. Mary's, a unique boutique offering breast cancer patients our moTivational Tees, and many helpful items during their recovery. Proceeds also go towards the YSC Young Survival Coalition, they work with the rising number of patients under 40. This year we are also donating to METAvivor, metastatic breast cancer awareness, support, and most importantly research. Their is no cure, yet. But I am thankful we are doing our little part in making a change in a big way. Working on this event puts life into perspective for me every year. Cherish and be thankful for all that you have.
